The symbolist sculptor, Franti\u0161ek B\u00edlek, an exceptional artist and representative of the Symbolist and Art Nouveau styles, is especially close to my heart.<\/p>

He designed his villa to symbolize an altar with a grain field and serve both as his original atelier (in his eyes an artist was a priest) and home for his beloved family. The tour focuses on biblical as well as general spiritual inspirations sculpted in wood \u2013 a material offering natural shapes that he intended to completely utilize.<\/p>

We can also admire the artist\u2019s impressive drawings and walk through the individual living spaces of the house where he was so happy. Everything here breathes and sings to remain as close as possible to nature and its creator. B\u00edlek was a man whose vision reached far beyond the horizon defined for most of us, a man who could sense the facets of reality that are normally beyond our reach. If even for a brief moment, B\u00edlek\u2019s artworks mediate this experience for us, letting our soul resonate in a way that\u2019s long forgotten.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
